PLAATO for Homebrewers
Dear Homebrewers
As of November 2023, we are no longer selling our homebrewing products: PLAATO Airlock, Keg, and Valve. As of now we are planning to operate the PLAATO homebrewing app until at least November 2025. We are currently looking into solutions to extend the life of our products, with the help of this community.
We are grateful to all of you who have come forward to help us find a solution to keep your Kegs and Airlocks operating for the years to come. We want to work with you to find a solution together.
We ran a community webinar on the 15th of January, where we gave more details on this decision and plans to involve the community going forward in finding an open source solution. You can watch a recording of the webinar here and join the Discord channel here.

The PLAATO PRO is built for professional brewers, and most of our customers have fermenter vessels in the range of 5hl – 500hl. The minimum tank size requirement for using PLAATO Pro is 100L with a minimum of 50 cm/ 20″ of liquid necessary above the probe.

While some of the infrastructure for the Airlock and Keg is ageing, we will continue to provide our service to ensure normal operations until November 2025.
The PLAATO app for home brewers will be discontinued in November 2025. Users can download and save their up to November 2025.
Data from the Airlock can be exported in multiple ways, which you can read about here: FAQs – Plaato Airlock Data | Plaato Help Center. You need to download your data before November 2025.
